Whilst it was initially thought that several thousand jobs would be needed across the airlines, a recently published report by Boeing forecasts that it expects Middle Eastern carriers to order over 3000 planes in the next 20 years. The same report also expects passenger traffic to double in the same period of time as well as Cargo operations increasing by over 40%.
This in turn means that the industry is expected to recruit at least 50000 pilots and technicians as well as around 100000 Cabin Crew, not to mention additional ground staff to deal with the expected influx in demand.
