BEING A FORCE FOR GOOD
A culture of giving back
At Nu Skin, we want to be a Force for Good by caring for our planet, improving the lives of children, nourishing future generations, and investing in our Global Community.
“ Our mission is to be a force for good throughout the world by empowering people to improve lives with rewarding business opportunities, innovative products and an enriching, uplifting culture.”
• Seeds of Hope:
For every Epoch product sold, Nu Skin will make a donation to the Force for Good Foundation. As the name of the Epoch Baobab Body Butter suggests, the Foundation started by planting a Baobab tree for every product sold. However, it has now evolved to plant fruit trees that not only feed the earth, but also the people of Malawi.
• School of Agriculture For Family Independence (SAFI):
Teaching sustainable agriculture in Malawi at the Mtalimanja Village School. After implementing SAFI techniques, crop yields can increase as much as 700%. These are proper farming and irrigation techniques that farmers can use and take back to their villages.
• Wells of Hope:
Providing funds to SAFI to clean water through our borehole project in Malawi. Every new well provides access to clean water for approximatively 500 people. Each water well ensures that villagers do not get sick from drinking non-potable water, with dysentery having potential heavy health consequences in poorer countries.
Seacology:
Creating win-win conservation partnerships that help island communities build infrastructure now and preserve their marine habitats for generations to come.
Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation:
Funding research to find a cure for the devastating skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)
Around the world:
To learn about all our initiatives in the different regions, visit our Global site at forceforgood.org (English only)
Disaster relief:
The foundation make timely donations when a major disaster hits a country, like the wildfires in Australia and the USA, the hurricane in the Bahamas, the Cyclone Idai in the Southern Africa countries of Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, or the COVID 19 global pandemic.
NOURISH THE CHILDREN (NTC)
A for-profit social initiative empowering future generations one bowl at a time.
No child should ever go hungry. That’s the belief behind Nu Skin’s NTC initiative. With VitaMeal, we provide malnourished children with highly nutritious food developed by Nu Skin’s very own nutrition scientists.
Why do We do it?
10
Every 10 Seconds1
a child dies from malnutrition.
3,100,000
That is 3,100,000 children dying of hunger every year.2
66,000,000
66 million primary school-aged children attend classes hungry across the developing world, 23 million of whom live in Africa, which greatly impacts their ability to learn.3

VitaMeal
VitaMeal was specially formulated for malnourished children by Nu Skin Pharmanex scientists.
Each 30-meal bag of VitaMeal contains 30 child-sized portions intended to nourish a child for 1 entire month.
It provides the ideal balance of calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals that undernourished children need to grow and develop to their full potential.
The warm heart of Africa
Malawi
-
50% of the population lives in poverty, 25% in extreme poverty 1
-
Average life expectancy is 63.7 years2
-
The illiteracy rate is about 30%2
-
1.07 million children suffer from chronic malnutrition3
Beyond feeding children
Drawing children to schools
VitaMeal bags are generally distributed through school programmes, motivating parents living in poverty to send their children to school for a free meal, rather than keeping them home to work.
Beyond feeding children
Creating job opportunities
-
Nu Skin provided half of the funds to build the VitaMeal Manufacturing Plant in Lilongwe, Malawi, that opened in 2004.
-
Pharmanex scientists adapted the formulation to cater to the traditional Malawian diet and locally available produce.
-
They also trained the employees who work at the plant, which creates jobs for about 400 people.
-
The plant is owned by Malawians and offers continued value to the people of Malawi.
-
It produces over 2,900,000 meals per month.
How can I participate?
Creating job opportunities
By purchasing VitaMeal bags:
1-bag purchase = 30 meals
2-bag purchase = 60 meals
5-bag purchase = 150 + 30 meals*1
Leveraging the matching programme:
For every purchase of the 5-bag option of VitaMeal, the company adds 1 bag, feeding an additional child for 30 days. But you don't need to do it alone! Any time the Nu Skin community as a whole purchases 8 bags via the 1 and 2-bag options, the company adds 1 bag.
That means:
*1 5-bag purchase = 150 meals + Nu Skin donates 1 bag for free8-bag purchase = 240 meals + Nu Skin donates 1 bag for free
+ For every bag of VitaMeal sold, Nu Skin will make a 2 $ donation to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation.
