Emirates has announced the return of face to face interviews as well as an upcoming 30 city to city recruitment tour which is expected to start imminently. The Dubai based carried had been mostly carrying out online interviews due to the difficulties of setting up open days due to the amount of different restrictions across regular open day recruiting cities in locations including Australia, the UK, dozens of European cities, as well as Cairo, Algiers, Tunis and Bahrain.
Speaking to the Gulf Times, Abdulaziz Al Ali, Emirates group’s executive vice president for human resources. "There’s no more exciting airline than Emirates for anyone interested in a flying career, and we’ve received tremendous interest since we began our recruitment drive for cabin crew in November,”
“While parts of the application process are done online, we always make the effort to meet our candidates in person whenever we can, and that is why our Talent Acquisition team is doing a whirlwind 30-city tour".
The Emirates vice-president also revealed that over 300,000 applications had been received since late November 2021. With approximately over 2000 applicants being successful with their applications. What remains clear is that demand whilst demand for new cabin crew may be at an all time high, the demand for the job remains even higher and with a success rate of under 1%, it is imperative that applicants treat the application process as professionally as possible.
